My favorite cut on Beatport - if only for the moment - is something new by Roland Appel with a very old school feel, ‘Changes’.

But it’s really the ace production that throws it over the top.

I first heard it on Beatport - and now it’s an instant favorite!

Something about that old New York house vocals and sound put through a filter of Detroit (my hometown), and then re-routed with today’s top production makes me want to find the perfect dance floor - because I’ve already found the perfect song.

I can’t even begin to think about that other wonderfully dark cut, ‘Dark Soldier’, but I’m starting to, and I have a feeling that this release will haunt me all the way until my list of favorites for the year…
