The world’s biggest ever DJ talent competition, Next Generation DJ (NGDJ), has been running for a little over a month now, and there’s some brilliant mixes to be found on the contest portal letsmix.com.

On Beatportal, we’re handpicking our favourite mixes from the competition in order to raise more awareness about the talent that mixed it.

Helsinki 78-82’s offering is one of the best mixes we’ve heard so far. Click through to listen to their mix.

“[Our mix is an] epic selection of big city house music, some italo and other things we like,” explained one of the Helsinki 78-82 crew, a DJ duo from the city who champion disco/house/indie dance.

“The mix also contains both sides of our debut single (out now, available on Turntable Lab), an unreleased remix for Zebra & Snake and a track from the forthcoming EP by Koobra’s who is one half of Helsinki 78-82.”

And a fine selection of disco bumps, it is. From Tensnake’s version of Toby Tobias ‘In Your Eyes’, to Crazy P ‘Caught Up’, Interplay ‘Ivory’, and Pryda ‘Reeperbahn’, the tracklist is a wonderfully juxtaposed blend of dancefloor mania.
