Len Faki has been announced as the next DJ to provide an installment for the Berghain mix series. Faki will follow up previous entries from Andre Galluzzi and of course Marcel Dettmann, whose ‘Berghain 02’ mix was widely regarded as one of the premier electronic compilations of 2008.

No pressure then, Len. 

Famed for his extended DJ sets and long-standing Berghain residency, Faki experienced a relatively low key 2008, omitting a only a couple remixes and one original production to follow up his comparatively busy 2007; a year in which the huge ‘Rainbow Delta/Mekong Delta’ double header was released.

Unsurprisingly, the mix is built around a solid techno spine with appearances from scene stalwarts Speedy J, Planetary Assault Systems and Radio Slave. More surprising then is the inclusion of tracks and remixes from Basement Jaxx, Bloc Party and Burial.
