Learn to DJ with Danny Rampling

He’s been many things in his career - acid house pioneer, garage glamster, Euro trance warrior, Radio 1 broadcaster, and for a very short time, professional chef.
Now the venerable Danny Rampling has decided to share his secrets with an e-book course entitled ‘Everything You Need To Know About DJing and Success.’
For the one off price of $67, Danny promises to help readers “fastrack [their] way to the top” by “sharing the insider secrets of how to become a success”.
In addition to technical tips on the basics of DJing, advice on how to market yourself, network and build confidence, the book also comprises a section devoted to “true success and happiness IN ANY WALK OF LIFE, no matter who you are, what you are currently doing or what country or religion you are from”, delivered in what appears to be the tone of a ‘self-help’ manual.
In his introduction to the course, Rampling writes:
“My name is Danny Rampling and I have had the great fortune to live what many claim is a ‘charmed life’.
“I can’t disagree.
“I love what I do, do what I love and make a hugely rewarding living in the process.
“I travel the world every week to DJ at the best clubs in the world, make music, meet amazing people and effortlessly attract wonderful opportunities and continuous success into my life.
“Now for the first time ever, due to a huge demand of people around the world asking me to share my ‘secrets’, I have created a ‘blueprint’ for success that ANYONE can follow, sharing with you EVERYTHING that I attribute to my success, and the successes of other phenomenally happy, healthy and wealthy individuals.”
Few would dispute Danny’s experience and professional credentials - along with Paul Oakenfold and Nicky Holloway, he was part of the group of London clubbers who returned from Ibiza in 1987 determined to transfer the magic of Alfredo’s DJ sets at Cafe Del Mar to a British setting.
Later that year, he founded Shoom with then-partner Jenny Rampling, which quickly exploded and became recognized as the London epicentre of the UK’s acid house scene.
Throughout the 90s, he remained at the top of the DJ tree, hosting Radio 1’s Lovegroove Dance Party show ("the second longest running Dance show on Radio 1”, as Danny points out), winning two “Outstanding Achievement to Dance Music Awards [sic]”, and selling in excess of 1 million compilation albums.
When his show was axed by Radio 1 in 2002, Danny continued to DJ around the globe for a couple of years, before announcing in 2005 that he was retiring from DJing, reportedly to train as a professional chef instead.
But by 2007, Danny had relented and began to DJ at selected one-off events.
Now, he seems keen to share his knowledge with anyone happy to part with $67.
Such is his confidence in the e-book, he’s also offering a 60-day money back guarantee for anyone who feels that “the contents don’t deliver huge value to [their] life”.
‘Everything You Need To Know About DJing and Success’ is not the first guide to DJing ever published, but as far as we know, it’s the first to incorporate a wider ‘self-help’ message as part of its content.
It’s also the highest-profile book of its kind, in terms of its author’s status, at least.
