The Rogue Element [a] aka Ben Medcalf hosts a Music Production Masterclass at Point Blank Music College next week. If you would like to learn how to produce professional tracks using Logic then all will be revealed on this one week course starting 31st August.

Learn how to program punchy beats and bass, leads and pads and how to arrange and mix your tracks for maximum dancefloor devastation. The course is taught in small groups, so each student will benefit from personal advice and guidance. All equipment is provided and no previous experience is necessary. It’s the perfect introduction for DJ’s looking to make the move from the DJ booth to the studio.

According to Ben there’s never been a better time to start making your own tracks. “These days you don’t need tons of kit because music software is so advanced now. Even six or seven years ago you could really tell the difference between something that was made purely on a computer and something that was made using real hardware but that’s just not the case any more.”

That’s not to say that you don’t need to learn how to use your kit though. And who better to learn from than an award winning producer who has rocked dancefloors across the globe? Since picking up a Breakspoll Award in 2006 for “Best Breakthrough Producer” Ben has released a string of devastating tracks and remixes culminating in his second album “Lumina” - released earlier this year to glowing reviews.

There are still a small number of places available so if you want to get your music production career on track this Summer then now’s your chance.
