Kotnstadt (Cotton City): Cotton City? The combined phrase of Manchester and Salford - the home cities of Nick Carroll and Dom Rowen - the two resident DJs and co promoters of Kotnstadt…

On the last Friday of every month at The Attic in Manchester, Kotnstadt brings you a night of genre defying sounds dedicated to the underground - expect to hear deep house, techno, minimal, electro and everything in between!

Nick and Dom have been in and around the music scene for years in Manchester - but only after a trip to Berlin and Berghain/Panorama Bar in 2008 did they decide now’s the time… Their aim is to showcase local talent and nights with a sprinkle of quality underground artists from around the globe. Set to keep their identity they also want to keep things fresh - so don’t be shocked if they book a broken beat, dubstep DJ or some crazy live act… A switched on crowd plus a cool party vibe, minus any pretentiousness equals what they want!

Past guests include MICRON DJs and Them (TOUCAN RAVE) and being an important media bod we’d love to invite YOU down to the first event of 2009 on Friday 30th January with with Giles Smith of SecretSundaze ruling the decks… It would be great to get a pre-view or review of the event or a general feature on Kotnstadt, focussing on an exciting event they are busy planning at the moment - showcasing the talent of Manchesters underground house DJs and club nights
