After successfully climbing to the 5,895m summit of Kilimanjaro last year for charity, British techno musician Andrea Parker has set her sights on tackling the world’s highest active volcano, Mt. Cotopaxi (5,897m), and three other volcanoes: Pasochoa, El Corazon and Liniza.
“Much of the final climb is on the glacier of Mt. Cotopaxi,” Andrea Parker told Beatportal, whilst chewing on a block of concrete.

This time Andrea will be raising money for the NSPCC, a charity that has a vision of building a society where “all children are loved, and where no child is forced to endure pain, misery or abuse, or a day when they no longer die at the hands of parents or care-givers”.
“I am trying to raise as much money as possible to continue the invaluable work they’re doing to protect our most vulnerable children and make this vision a reality.
“Also part of the funds I raise will go to Salinas de Guaranda in Gamalote community which helps student groups work together with the local community to build an infant school in the area.” Bravo, we say.

“By the way, I am launching my new label next month,” added Andrea, who runs the highly respected electronic label Touchin’ Bass.
Word has it, Andrea is also working on a new album, the follow up to her last LP ‘Here’s One I Made Earlier!’ [check it in the player below].
