Berlin-based label !K7 is going on tour with electronic artists Swayzak and Joakim as the first venture of the label group’s new events agency.

The tour will set off in Dublin on the 17th of September and will continue to North America in October, with a DJ Kicks tour also on the books. 

For the uninitiated, !K7’s DJ Kicks definitive mix series began in 1995 and highlighted the top-notch talents of Kruder & Dorfmeister, Nightmares On Wax, Rockers Hi-Fi, Thievery Corporation, Carl Craig and Tiga, amongst others.

In 1996 the label began putting out artist albums, with a discography that includes the likes of Tosca, Koop, Mike Ladd, Smithy & Mighty, Rae & Christian, Dani Siciliano, Ursula Rucker, and Boozoo Bajou and more.

For this global label group tour, Joakim and Swayzak are sure to keep the dancefloor hopping with a bevy of booty-shaking grooves.

Joakim is the driving force behind the crossover imprint Tigersushi Records, and is known for his genre-bending fusions of instrumentals and rock.

Swayzak’s David “Brun” Brow, James “Darkfarmer” Taylor have been “avoiding full time employment” and releasing records since 1993, with deep and atmospheric dubby house as their mainstay.
