Jnr J’s taking London back underground

If you thought London was all shiny corporate clubs with expensive drinks and bad attitudes then think again.

Electro mischief maker and host of the infamous ‘Jnr’s Jamm’ parties is taking you underground…

Coming to a warehouse in an undisclosed location in North London this Saturday is Jnr J’s latest club venture ‘Jnrs Basement Jamm’.

Fed up the attitude of London clubs in general - Jnr has decided to take it back to the underground for a party with a difference.

Roping in special guests such as Beatport minimal chart favourite Kanio [a], Beatport Award nominee Oliver Giacomotto and electro upstart Kid Dub [a].

The only clues are that the venue is a few minutes away from Tottenham Hale tube station..and the closing time? There isn’t one.

Capital clubbing is a hit and miss affair at the moment, with a real sense of detachment - what ultimately separated clubbing from your average night down the late night boozer.

The recent closure of Turnmills and now sadly The End has only added to the lack of party spirit, where familiar faces in a crowded dancefloor seem a thing of the past.

Pissed up ‘rudeboys’ and overeager security seem only to happy to make your average clubber’s life a misery.

A recent trip to arguably the MOST famous club in London had myself and the good lady heading for the exit after 30 minutes caused by a combination of the above.

In the words of Jnr:

“The main reason for us doing it like this and in such a secret club is that we’re a bit fed up with London clubs.

We hate the fact that at any club undesirable people can come in and spoil your night.

More and more troublesome people are getting into club music.

There will be no walk-up crowd, only our kind of party people - which in turn means security will have an easier job so we’re all winners.”

Jnr’s plan is simple - dance, drink, party, smoke and leave the attitude to the superclubs.
