James Zabiela sings on new ‘Perseverance’ EP

British wonderkid James Zabiela has revealed that he has ambitions to “one day make an electronic LP with real songs on it that tests my abilities as a producer/song writer.”

His announcement precedes his forthcoming EP ‘Perseverance’, which curiously features James Zabiela’s vocals on every track.

“I would never dream of performing these tracks live, they’re not full vocal songs I just thought they made a nice addition to the tracks and what better way to convey a thought or feeling than to actually say it,” said James of his singing attempts.

James admitted that he did the vocals himself, because he doesn’t like working with others in the studio.

“I’m a bit of a control freak and I wanted the solo effort to be just that. Solo.

“I’ve worked with people in the past and with the exception of Nic Fanciulli I find it harder to partner up in the studio.”

James Zabiela ‘Perseverance’ EP features four tech and acid house tracks, ‘Human’, ‘Perseverance’, ‘No Other Way But Down’ and ‘Phaser Fire’ and the release is out on Renaissance in December.
