More details about Matter’s 2009 plans emerged this week, when James Zabiela was named a resident DJ of the cavernous venue at The 02 in London.

Under the banner of Positronic, Zabiela will play in the main room alongside some of his favourite guest DJs, whilst Room 2 will see up and comers play.

The first Positronic will take place on March 7th, and the man with the fastest hands in dance music will use it to launch his forthcoming Renaissance Masters mix CD. Joey Beltram, Christian Smith & John Selway and Zabiela’s longtime DJ cohort Kos will also play.

The back room will see some more Southampton crew on sound conrol, with High Tide’s Gary Bennetton and Dan Reid playing, as well as UK techno duo Spektre and Mouj from Jaded.
