James Murphy: LCD Soundsystem not splitting up

Following speculation that LCD Soundsystem are splitting up, front man James Murphy has told NME.com that the rumours are a load of old tosh.

Murphy said he’s already got eight songs prepped and ready to go for LCD’s next studio album, and the reason why people may have thought they the band were game over is because James Murphy doesn’t tell anybody what he’s working on.

“When I start recording I don’t tell anyone, not even my manager,” he said.

“I write all my music in my head, I never demo. I get to a point where there are too many songs and I have to get them recorded. I recently felt that. I’ve got eight in my head - that’s critical mass.”

Here’s a tip James, try communicating with your fellow band members next time, eh?
