Is Weird Science Berlin’s best electronic music radio show?
21 June, 2008 | 8.08AMGood radio shows are hard to come by, at least in Germany.
We have no ‘Solid Steel’, no ‘Beats In Space’ and we definitely never had a John Peel (R.I.P.), so it’s always great to find a new and exciting show somewhere.
One to look out for is the new weekly Dutch show ‘Weird Science’ hosted by Marco and Orpheo, who are not just designers for Amsterdam’s prolific label and distribution conglomerate Rush Hour (under the Newsgroup moniker), but also great DJs with excellent taste, exploring the vast area of electronic music from old school to new school, “playing the best cosmic disco, certified house music, tasteful techno and adventurous rare jams”.
The show is broadcast live every Thursday from 6 till 7 PM, and you can download the show and playlists on http://www.weirdscience.fm or subscribe to the podcast on iTunes.
It’s a great show, so check it out.
