Interview with Uriel
1. Is Uriel your real name?
Uriel is my artist name
2. Where you from/born?
I was born here in the NY tri-state area. Lived here all my life.
3. When did you first get involved in the music business?
At an early age I loved many different styles of music. I had the itch to create music and get involved with music production and songwritting. In my college days I felt it was very natural to write and arrange songs.
4. In what category would you list your music in?
Electronic Pop-Dance Music.
5. What are your most prized accomplishments?
“Zorba The Greek” dance version which did very well and sold amazing. The classic song done in a new style pop-dance vibe. Hot!
6. What are looking to do different in the near future?
I am revisiting some classic music and standards everyone has loved throughout the years making them right for todays dance floor and dance clubs. I am also working on my new aldum due out the end of this year.
7. Last, how do you feel about the life span of dance music in this country?
Dance music here in the US is not as big as it is overseas and it’s a shame. . Dance music over seas is so massive and huge. Here in the US we barely have any dance stations to begin with. We need to unite in the dance community and support one another.
