Interview with Ezekiel Honig

If you’re into high brow electronic music composition, Mnml ssgs have a Q&A with New York’s Ezekiel Honig, a producer who takes reference from musique concrete and people like John Cage.

“I don’t consider using electronic sounds (synths, drum machines, etc.) because there is so much interesting sound in the world already, and it’s impossible to run out of material when you think of it in that way,” said Ezekiel Honig, who runs the labels Microcosm and Anticipate.

Ezekiel Honig’s ‘Scattered Practices’ album from 2006 sums up his idiosyncratic flourishes with sonic forging - check it in the player after the jump.
