Open Records goes back to its roots with the stunning debut release from one of Australia’s best new progressive trance artists – Interpulse, aka Richard Hinkson.

Residing in Melbourne, Richie has a 20-year association with the Australian music scene. 

Best known as one half of legendary live tribal trance act Mantrix, one of Australia’s longest running and most successful acts, over the years Richie has played at nearly every major Australian outdoor festival including Rainbow Serpent, Earthcore, Tribeadelic, Earth Freq and many more.

Together with his studio partner Ben, they produced six albums on various labels before the completion of their partnership in 2007 – paving the way for Richie’s solo project Interpulse to take formation at the beginning of this year.

The fresh sound is focused on cutting edge deep progressive music, combining sweeping trance FX, driving techno basslines and layered tribal percussions - all wound together with a distinct Australian outdoor festival vibe and strong dancefloor focus.

The Transcender EP features three original and exclusive tracks showcasing different facets of his constantly developing sound – a small introduction to his album to be released on Open Records in 2009.

Richie’s top notch production aesthetics and innovative sound guarantees that every Interpulse track is a winner, with fans of acts such as SunControlSpecies, Vibrasphere, Freq, Lish, Perfect Stranger and Ace Ventura sure to be impressed.
