In recognition of International Women’s Day, we’ve selected 13 of our favorite female producers and DJs. Throughout the day, we’ll be featuring them along with their top 10 charts and playlists of their top tracks.

The Swedish starlet Robyn might best be described as a DIY diva. A veteran of the music industry—she released her major-label debut album way back in 1995—she has won indie fans and top-40 listeners the old-fashioned way: no meat dresses, no sex tapes, no rehab, just killer songwriting and seemingly limitless charm, all of which was on ample display on her 2010 album Body Talk. From fall-in-love-at-first-listen singles like “Dancing on My Own” to her creative use of viral media, there’s really no one else like her on the scene; she’s certainly one of the few Grammy nominees (if not the only one) to perform at Berlin’s notorious Berghain club.
