, a relatively new label from Hamtramck, Michigan USA, presents ‘Internal Structure’, an essential techno pick this week.
Producer Johannes Volk![[a]](http://www.beatportal.com/images/site/misc/wiki_box_a.gif)
from Giessen, Germany, surprises with a futuristic Detroit influenced techno EP reminiscent of Kenny Larkin.
This is ultra modern yet conscious of techno’s old roots at the same time.
Where Redshape stops pushing boundaries, Volk starts.
‘Internal Structure’ concentrates on a floating FM beat which is simple but funky, whilst ‘Metaphysical Moment’ is a classic techno tribute to Detroit’s strings.
A personal highlight is the Gerd remix of the title track, which sounds like the early stuff that was put out on Downwards.
