La Roux, the production duo consisting of Ben Langmaid and Elly Jackson were 2008’s hot tip for chart success with their penchant for 80’s sounding electro pop combined with Elly’s sultry, diva vocals.

At the time of writing La Roux was residing in the Top 5 UK singles chart having been signed to Polydor and it seems like everyone was right.

Having released their first single ‘Quicksand’ on Kitsune the act have stuck to their roots and now released this quirky house remix on the French indie imprint, courtesy of Lifelike.

Still riding the crest of the 80’s sounding original with analogue sounds and drum patterns, this track is a modern day Eurythmics-style classic, with an added kick up the arse from South London.

Concretely Elly’s predominate vocals are the key to this act’s success and 2009 will clearly be a bigger year for the duo. Watch out Annie Lennox!
