Ibiza’s taxi trouble

Ibizaspotlight.com has the scoop on a recent strike by Ibiza’s taxi drivers over plans to introduce 150 temporary taxi licenses for next summer.

The council wants to reduce the queues for taxis and provide a better service to the hundreds of thousands of holidaymakers who rely on them for transport during the super busy months of July and August.

But Ibiza’s taxi drivers revolted by going on strike on New Year’s Eve.

Ibiza Council said the strike, or any future strikes, will not stop their plan to introduce the extra taxi licenses during the summer months.
