Ibiza Track: Felix Da Housecat, Kris Menace ‘Artificial’
Ibiza Track: Felix Da Housecat, Kris Menace ‘Artificial’
6 June, 2008 | 8.32AMI will eat a piece of dusty vinyl if Felix Da Housecat
and Kris Menace’s new track ‘Artificial’ (on Compuphonic) doesn’t become an anthem in Ibiza this summer.
Kris Menace
has a history of producing Ibiza anthems - his offering ‘Discopolis’ which he made with Lifelike destroyed the Space Terrace week in week out for three months in 2006 - and ‘Artificial’ is similarly just as dangerous.
Clearly Compuphonic![[a]](http://www.beatportal.com/images/site/misc/wiki_box_a.gif)
think so too as the release couldn’t have been better timed (Ibiza’s clubbing season kick started this week).
Like a giant disco ball of funk, ‘Artificial’ features a booty-shaking bass riff and glittering disco-fied synths that you can almost reach out and touch.
Whilst the techno and minimal scenes have produced the most interesting music of late, nothing beats a house anthem and Felix Da Housecat and Kris Menace’s ‘Artificial’ might just well be 2008’s.
Grab it whilst it’s still red hot.
PS I wonder how much Ministry of Sound will pay for it in September?
