In Ibiza you meet all kinds of interesting people as the island’s perceived lack of restriction and creative freedom attracts all kinds of pleasure seekers, music lovers, artists and sun worshipers.

Hanging out on Las Salinas beach yesterday was Pi, a quirky lady who has lived in Ibiza for 25 years.

Pi is one of the many people who came to Ibiza and never, ever left.

“I moved to Ibiza from Argentina 25 years ago,” said Pi, who often visits clubs like DC10 and the beach bars where she is something of a local celebrity.

“Pi means energy, you know? The energy all around us, like in music, piiiiiiiiiiii, piiii, pi, pi, piiiiii,” she says, whilst singing along to the music.

“I’m a buddhist so I like all the positive energy of Ibiza.

“People feel happy here.”
