A journey into the sound, this is the spirit which animates Claudio Coccoluto’s new selection; Amigdala.

Amigdala is the name of the brain’s gland seat of the intelligence and of the emotional memory. I choose it, says Claudio, to prove how much it’s now necessary to reawake the musical creativity.
Starting from the re-discovery of the most exciting fragments of the recent electronic music, but filtering them out through the languages born with the technological revolution and which definitely modified our relationship whit machines.

This way Claudio retakes possession of a live dimension of making music, where live mixed vinyls show off a sensual physicity of the sound, unknown to the aseptic glaciality of mp3 files.
The sense of Claudio Coccoluto’s new selection is to approach our distract perception to young talents, new findings, experimental realities which now are the soundtrack of our time. Amigdala time.

Claudio inserted in his selection tracks from the new Germal electronic soul, as Thomas Barnett and Mattias Meyer avant garde space jazz with dOP, new names of the Italian technological funky as Luca Bacchetti, collaborations between Rome and Oslo (Somolun vs OST & Kjex), a russian revelation (Masha Era’s progressive techno) and the last track, Beach Games, by Claudio Coccoluto, a tribute to space depth.
