Following releases on Berlin label Shitkatapult, this is the long-awaited debut by Holz on his home turf.

In tune with Modul8’s label motto, club culture energies fuse with puritan Cologne-style minimalist sound.

Hotel Holz hits the modul8 theme “sublimation of contemporary dance music”, spot on, refining a seemingly harmless, stomping club banger into pure, dry Knarz.

Hotel Holz isn’t about five-star sterility or flophouse cockroaches crawling over sticky bathroom walls: it’s a club bar with a swinging sauna on the side, contemplative cactuses and cacophonous calm.

In short: a hotel with heart.
