Well, Wolfgang Gartner obviously likes Van Halen because the title of this EP is a direct throwback to the track of the same name from that respective guitarist’s most famous LP, ‘1984’.

‘Sesso Buono’ is without a doubt influenced by the 1980s then, bursting with heavenly arpeggiator riffs, melty Detroit pads and over-reverberated claps.

These elements are juxtaposed with the customarily brutal electro house beats and a fat, analogue bassline that is tinged with dirt.

This is a good record to fuck the minds of the blearier-eyed inhabitants of dance floors.

It’s too floaty to start a set with, but play it at the right time and you can screw things up good and proper.

‘Front To Back’ takes the gnarly bass and drums from the aforementioned track and sees Wolfgang Gartner go to work on something decidedly more modern.

The result is a rockin’, stuttered, gated monster of a electro house experiment, complete with digitally warped, dynamic breakdowns and enough energy to make a red bull addict seem sloth-like by comparison.
