Hervé, also known as the Count, Voodoo Chilli, Action Man, Dead Soul Brothers, Speaker Junk and Young Lovers, drops his hard-hitting Essential Mix for Radio 1 this week in a barrage of non-stop ghetto electro madness. 

With a Lily Allen remix recently under his belt and a collaboration with DJ Sneak forthcoming on Cr2 Records, the label boss of Cheap Thrills Records tears up the airwaves with a searing blend of garage electro noise, bass-heavy club hits and a dash of nearly every other subgenre thrown in for good measure.

Expect tunes that run the full gamut, including his merciless reworks of Prodigy and Metallica through to the haunting melodies of La Roux.

This Essential Mix could aptly be described as two hours of seemingly endless clamor, but this signature fracas is precisely why Herve has seen his popularity grow into near celebrity status.

If you can make it through the full two boisterous hours, it’s sure to invigorate your ears and quite possibly blow your speakers.
