Hercules unveils ‘professional’ DJ Control Steel
17 December, 2008 | 9.51PMHercules’ budget DJ controllers are quite popular with digital DJs, but the company hopes to attract DJs who take their spinning more seriously with the release of DJ Control Steel, a USB mixing console that the company claims is suitable for professionals.
The MIDI-controllable interface is surrounded by a solid metal case and contains two ‘decks’, plus a mixer in the middle with EQ and volume knobs, plus 13 rotary switches and 46 push buttons.
Hercules hope the 13” x 9.7” size of DJ Control Steel isn’t considered too large to be transported to gigs, and it even comes with its own custom over-the-shoulder bag to reiterate portability.
The product comes with Virtual DJ 5 software for Mac or PC.
