Acid House classic ‘Supernatural’ returns.

The Slip N Slide classic King Britt pres Firefly ft Ursula Rucker - ‘Supernatural’ makes a welcome return this week, exclusive to Beatport, with a tasty new remix package. Originally signed from Josh Wink’s then newly established Ovum, it was an instant acid house smash back in 1995. Now it gets a welcome re-touch in time for some Ibiza acid revival madness. And there really can be no better choice for mix duties than original German squelchy acid house pioneers Hardfloor.

Dance connoisseurs will remember the German duo, Oliver Bondzio and Ramon Zenker, for their many releases on seminal labels such as EyeQ, Harthouse, and Orbit, not the least the amazing epic, ‘Acperience’. That track is still a much sought classic and a track often quoted as a main influence with today’s top level DJs.

Meanwhile later efforts like Yello vs. Hardfloor ‘Vicious Games’ and their massive remixes of Mory Kante’s ‘Yeke Yeke’, and New Order’s ‘Blue Monday’, set the gold standard in the genre back in the day and have rarely been topped.

King Britt is a modern day musical legend, lending his ear to all manner of productions, global DJing appearances and live shows. His collaboration here, with spoken word poet and performer Ursula Rucker, is considered one of his finest. The track has been remixed and bootlegged numerous times, evidence that the demand for this record hasn’t waned since its first release over 15 years ago. With Hardfloor providing a new twist, ‘Supernatural’ is back to wow dancefloors all over again. ACEEED!
