Hanz S. - My Chemical (AZM-D010)

Hanz S. - My Chemical (AZM-D010)

My Chemical is a release where each track serves a purpose and all four tracks would fit into many different kinds of dj sets.  From techno dj sets to tech house to even deep house, the 4 track release is quite versatile.  Hanz S. has crisp production skills; he does not mess around with clichéd white noise build-ups or large ‘’hands in the air’’ type moments.  This release is designed for the dj that takes their craft very seriously and the dj that wants to set a mood in their dj sets.  The one word that comes to mind after I have listened to this release is “groove”.

01 - Ethylen -
Ethylen immerses the listener and dance floor in its deep constant tech groove.  It is great to mix in and out of because of its smooth introduction of new glitches/layers. This is underground minimal techno at its finest.

02 - Hydrogenium -
My favorite of the release, I am biased though because I prefer electro over minimal but that is just me!  This track is also a mood setter and would slot nicely into many dj sets.  The inclusion of a bouncy constant electro bass line would keep the audience enthralled while the warm pads would stimulate their minds.

03 - Isopropanol -
I see this track as a dj tool, a much stripped back minimal number that would be great to mix.  I myself would play this and then mix in something like “Hydrogenium” over the top; something with a subtle groove to add layers to Isopropanol.  A very intelligent piece of minimal music designed for the dj that does more than just play big tracks.

04 - Kaliumpergamanat -
Similar to Hydrogenium but with a dirtier electro bass line.  This track also sets a mood and would be great at the start of an electro djs set or even a progressive house dj that wants to switch his direction in his set.  Also, the spacey pad conveys the feeling of travelling and going someplace else.
