Guy Gerber’s Supplement Facts releases ‘Bird Language’

Guy Gerber’s Supplement Facts [l] releases ‘Bird Language’ July 29th on Beatport.

The release features three tracks from French producers David K [a], Catwash [a] (Chris Carrier and DJ Wild), and Varoslav [a].

Check out an exclusive podcast & interview for Beatportal, presented here from Gerber’s new discovery, Varoslav of Paris.

Your track ‘Socca Soul’ appears on the upcoming Supplement Facts release, what can you say about it?

I worked a lot on production this last year and it’s been a while since Guy Gerber [a] was expecting some tracks from me. It is a great accomplishment for me to have it released on his label.

I’m also pleased to read all the positive feedback from a lots of DJs, while working on my forthcoming EP with a collaboration with my friend DOP.

What do you feel represents you the most out of the sound coming from France at the moment?

Here in Paris, we always loved house music, our sound is mostly happy, dancefloor-oriented and very hypnotic.

The master word behind it is ‘’groove’’. If I had to give a few artists’ names, they would be: Dop, Dyed Soundorom, Seuil, Okain, Gwen Maze….

All those artists have signed lots of new releases coming out around September for the new season kick back.

How did you hook up with Guy Gerber?

We met in Paris about two years ago ....one day, my homie David K. came to my house and introduced Guy to me,and since then we’ve become very good friends as well.

Best party you’ve been to this year?

I will not talk about gigs in Paris because I’m a local and I know the scene too well.

I believe it is quite hard here because most the promoters that have the budget to make great parties always go for the no risk investment, the line-ups are totally incoherent which doesn’t help to have a great party from start to finish.

For me the best were the parties at the Terazza, Secret Sundazee and the rooftop Mobilée party in Barcelona.

It was only a month ago, all my friends were there.

What you will never do?

I will never forget the one that helped me through out my producing career, and the ones that have trusted me since day one.

Your top 3 tracks?

GZA & Method Man ‘Shadowboxin’ off ‘Liquid Swords’

Mustafa ‘Circles’ [Yellorange].

Coco Steel ‘Feel It’ [Warp].

‘Bird Language’ out on Beatport July 29th.
