Guy Gerber Picks Remix Competition Winner

After much waiting and deliberation we’ve finally decided on a winner for the Guy Gerber remix competition. From almost 300 remix submissions, Guy Gerber and the people at Cocoon Recordings have finally chosen their winning remix.

And the accolades go to (drum roll) Kassey Voorn & Pete McCarthey from Greece with their stunning production and creative rearrangement. 

No strangers to producing music, the duo released the progressive hit, ‘Enso’ on Afterglow earlier this year.

Kassey Voorn, the more prolific artist of the duo began his musical career in 2008. Having had releases on labels including Inkfish Recordings, Proton Music and microCastle his productions have been heavily supported by the likes of John Digweed, Armin Van Buuren, Laurent Garnier, Dubfire, Nick Warren, Markus Schulz, and Kenneth Thomas amongst others.

Kassey Voorn & Pete McCarthey’s remix will soon be released on Cocoon and the lucky duo take home a $200 Beatport voucher as well as the new Native Machine unit.

“We are really excited about winning the contest, it was a big surprise for us,” states Voorn on behalf of the duo. “We are honored for being chosen by Guy Gerber & Cocoon and it was a privilege remixing such a great artist and a pleasure remixing such a wonderful piece of music.
