Gui Boratto ‘Beatiful Life’
Gui Boratto ‘Beatiful Life’
23 May, 2007 | 4.42AMOne of the standout tracks from Gui Boratto’s recent ‘Chromophobia’ album was ‘Beautiful Life’ and record label Kompakt has finally released a video for the heart-wrenching techno pop ballad.
The video features close up images of a typical family enjoying life - a kid fixing his skateboard, an old man smiling with his wife, the family sitting down for dinner - then the camera pans out to reveal the family’s house in all its glory, located on the side of a motorway underneath a flyover in the middle of a city.
Although Beatportal is unable to confirm, it seems Gui Boratto’s video is aimed at highlighting the significant homeless urban population of his country Brazil, including its notorious shanty towns.
A poignant and emotive work of art, just like his music.
