Great Stuff turns 100 with Tomcraft and Eniac
3 August, 2010 | 2.53AMFor its 100th release, Great Stuff Recordings brings things full circle, as label founder Tomcraft
reunites with his original studio partner, [Eniac]]. It was their single ‘Great Stuff’ that kicked off the label, and ‘Room 414 (Can’t Get Away)’ finds them once again indulging a love of anthemic, melodic electro house.
The track is titled after the Berlin hotel room where the two decided to resume their partnership; the vocal sample comes from Mood II Swing’s classic ‘Can’t Get Away From You’. And the video is quite a bit freakier than you might expect.
‘Room 414 (Can’t Get Away)’ is out this week, featuring remixes from Eniac, Citizen Kain
, and Tube & Berger
. Check out the release, plus a slew of GSR-related charts—from Tomcraft, Ramon Tapia
