GKF032 is out:
DJ RICO - Vibes On The Dancefloor E.P.
01. MY PARADISE GARAGE (Boogaloo main mix) – 6:32
02. SOUL POWER (Main vibes mix) – 7:06
03. AFRO PHUNKYA (Vu-Du mix) – 6:23
04. THAT PEOPLE UNDERGROUND (Main mix) – 6:29
Here is some raw energy to fuel your gigs. DJ Rico strikes back, after the brilliant “The Funkiest Deep E.P.” (GKF015), the selector of the “Soul’n’Jazz in the House” mixes series brings you today four kickin’ masterpieces with this powerful “Vibes On The Dancefloor E.P.”. The African born French DJ/Producer knows how to make it sound good. The first track, the boogaloo main mix of “My Paradise Garage” is just a bomb, spreading some vibes all over the place. “Soul Power” is deep and funky, simple but efficient. The Vu-Du mix of “Afro Phunkya” is a hypnotic tune, rich in drums and ethnic vocals, which takes house-music back to its roots. Finally, “That People Underground” is a pure deep-house jewel, funky, as you can always expect from one the most talented G.K.F. artist.
Here are a couple of comments:
FRANCO MARTINELLI: This is the second EP of DJ Rico released on Gotta Keep Faith, and what an excellent one it is. The rising French producer delivers 4 strong tracks starting with the deep, dark and pumpin’ “My paradise garage”, the second track is a slamming funky affair titled “Soul power” , while “Afro phunkya” explores the afro side of house music, this track is rich of afro percussions and infectious ethnic vocals. Finally “That people underground” closes the E.P., this is another deep and pumpin’ track with a strong funky flavor.
JAY TRIPWIRE: Really feeling the “My Paradise Garage"…
ALEX DIMITRI: Yo, I really like this E.P. by DJ Rico...all the tracks are rockin’. Good work guys!
RICHARD EARNSHAW: Quality! Gonna drop “Soul Power” all over the place!!!
BERND NIEDERGESAESS: Superb as always! “That People Underground” and “My Paradise Garage” are awesome. All tracks added to Radio 42 playlist…
LENELL STEVENS: This is another great release! God bless!
