Goldie Conducts Brahms

In a new reality TV show entitled ‘Maestro’, Goldie has been training up to conduct the Sinfonia Tamesa Orchestra in performing Brahm’s Academic Festival Overture.

Speaking to the New Statesman magazine Goldie is quoted as saying, ‘I wish I could have got into that side of music earlier but I was always too scared to go to music school.”

Goldie, who also records under Rufige Kru, runs the legendary Metalheadz label and became household name with his late 90’s ‘Timeless’ record.

Also in the interview Goldie speaks about his political views, as he reflects on his 19-year old son being shot in his home city of Wolverhampton.

On reflection of the UK’s opposing Conservative parties new social welfare agenda, Goldie also states, ‘“If David Cameron puts his hand out to youth, he’s going to get it bitten off.”
