Goldfrapp reveal song, artwork and video

Goldfrapp have unleashed a new cut for the world from their forthcoming Mute album entitled ‘Seventh Tree’.

‘A & E’, the first single from the album, is currently posted on the Goldfrapp myspace page, along with back-catalog material.

February 11th will see the release of ‘A & E’, while the full album will be issued on February 25th, as reported previously on Beatportal.

The single harks back to the duo’s first album, ‘Felt Mountain’, with its many atmospherics and lush sounds — a more relaxed and surreal departure from their previous second and third albums, ‘Black Cherry’ and ‘Supernature’.

The outfit have also announced a new video for the single which will be revealed first on January 12th the UK’s Channel 4, followed by availability on the Mute Channel on youtube.

Revealed on Goldfrapp’s official site is the full tracklisting for ‘Seventh Tree’, containing several titles which seem to refer strongly to the idea of the circus.
