Global Gathering 2009 headliners and dates

The organisers of Britian’s Global Gathering festival are touting their 2009 installment as an event that will unite the pioneers of electronic music.

Obviously they don’t mean they’ve got Pierre Schaeffer, Steve Reich, Raymond Scott and Karlheinz Stockhausen doing a quartet, but with The Prodigy and Orbital headlining there will be something of an old skool flavour to the main stage this year.

About 55,000 people attend the two day Global Gathering festival each year, and in 2009 the party will take place on the 24th and 25th July at Long Marston Airfield, near Stratford Upon Avon.
