looks pretty hard actually.
If you don’t believe me, check out his Myspace.
He is from New York as well, so another tick in the tough box, and his latest release on Potty Mouth Music even spells “anutha” in Gangsta’ — either that or dyslexia.
He also is famous for being the only American on Switch’s (quality) Dub Sided label, and as his website tells you, has DJ’d all over the world.
Now this is all very impressive, as was his last release on Dub Sided ‘Name It X’, which is a gold nugget of a record, all brooding synths and sinister bass lines, perfect for late night twisted discos.
However, and I will be blunt, ADITG is a bad record.
Whether it’s glitch house, blog house, fidget house or bmore, it matters not; this track is thoroughly un-original to the point of annoyance, but will probably be rinsed to death at ironic indie discos nonetheless.
The Bulgarian (who is actually from South Africa) tries to get even more ghetto, perhaps spending yet “anutha” day there, and partially succeeds, simply by stripping back much of the offending parts of the Original.
The Original, while very much of the now, is ultimately completely disposable to an extent that even the Bulgarian Remix, as good as it is, can’t save this.
