Get Physical Producer Challenge: winners

Dear Beatportal readers and contestants,

Originally, the plan had been to wind up the Get Physical Producer Challenge contest at the end of my tour, but as you – understandably – had other things on your collective minds over Christmas and New Year, we wanted to give you a few extra days to tweak those beats into submission.

And we were delighted to find some great late arrivals in our inbox. So without further ado, may we present the three winners of the fourth and final round of the contest. Now that the contest is wrapped up, we’re also able to reveal the Grand Final winner.

Fourth Round Winners

Our December faves are Scott & Aroop Roy with their deep house track ‘Moments Never Last’. They win a Beatport download voucher and get to pick their ten favourite tracks from our three labels (Get Physical, Get Digital and Kindisch) as a digital download.

In second place, we have Stefan Z and his crisp minimal house sketch ‘Anytime’. His prize: five tracks of choice from our three labels (Get Physical, Get Digital and Kindisch) for free download.

Third up are Vadim Yershov & balErik with their uplifting Detroit homage ‘Throwback’. They too, get to choose five free downloads from our label roster (Get Physical, Get Digital and Kindisch).

And the winner is...

Cue drum roll … now it’s time to reveal the overall winner of our producer challenge:

The contest’s undisputed champions turned out to be our November favourites, Midnight Perverts vs Michal Ho. Their track ‘Miami Sucks’ got the most thumbs up in the Get Physical office. It – and other tracks by newcomer talents – will grace the next edition of our ‘Full Body Workout’ compilation to be released some time during the first half of 2010 … if everything goes according to plan.

So, congratulations to all the winners – it’s been a pleasure to hear such a wide range of new productions! Thanks for taking part.
