Get Physical celebrate eight years, announce new mix

Thomas Schumacher will mix ‘8 Years of Get Physical’, Get Physical’s eighth anniversary compilation, due out October 29. Resident Advisor reports that the 19-track mix will include tracks from label staples DJ T., Nôze, Lopazz, Schumacher, Italoboyz, and Damian Lazarus, among others. The tracklisting also includes a handful of tantalizing collaborations, including Emerson Todd vs. Tim Green, Elektrochemie vs. Tiger Stripes, Adultnapper vs. M.A.N.D.Y., and—most intriguing of all—M.A.N.D.Y. with Matthew Dear, recording as M.A.N.D.E.A.R.

In the meantime, the label has put together a video recap of its eighth birthday party at Berlin’s Watergate club in June, featuring short interviews with M.A.N.D.Y., Tim Green, Siopis, Catz ‘n Dogz, David Keno, and Martin Runge.

Get Physical’s latest release, out last week, is a special one: Christian Prommer covering the Italian house classic ‘Sueño Latino’, remixed by DJ Hell. It’s as epic as you could hope for.

Other recent GP releases include Damian Lazarus’ ‘Smoke the Monster Out - Club Versions’ featuring [a]pendics.shuffle; Lopazz, Betoko and Zarook’s ‘New Dimension’, Javier Logares’ ‘El Sueño Español’, and DJ T.’s ‘The Inner Jukebox Remix EP’ featuring reworks from rising stars KiNK and Nicolas Jaar.
