30 October, 2007 | 11.56AMTodd Terry’s All Stars are Kenny Dope, DJ Sneak and Chicago DJ and producer Terry Hunter.
Who better to launch the original house label with its first all-new production in five years?
Strictly Rhythm
started life in 1989, and the label provided the launch pad for the careers of Erick Morillo, Roger Sanchez, Kenny Dope, Josh Wink and Armand Van Helden.
Brought back to life after a hiatus via a partnership with Defected Records, ‘Get Down’ is the perfect big vocal to return to the dancefloor and cause a stir.
‘Get Down’ has anthem written all over it with a feel good vibe and hooky chorus.
The soaring vocals are provided by the gorgeous Tara McDonald, the voice behind Armand’s ‘My, My, My’, Axwell’s ‘Feel the Vibe’ and the recent ‘House Queen Diva’.
NYC über producer, Kenny Dope, creates a monster bumpin’ groove and a big pop production.
Tara’s vocals are complimented with tinkling keys with a funky trumpet, plus a groove that has definite old skool shuffle feel.
Tee’s Freeze Mix has a good groove and more stripped back club mix which will work better for the headz.
‘Get Down’ is an old-school vocal with the pedigree of the finest uplifting, uptempo vocal house music.
