Gabriel & Dresden have officially split up.
The pair, who won the award for Best American DJ at this year’s IDMA ceremony at WMC in Miami, made the announcement on Dave Dresden’s MySpace page over the weekend.
Gabriel & Dresden are best known for their hit ‘Tracking Treasure Down’ and for remixing Motorcycle ‘As The Rush Comes’.
Josh Gabriel and Dave Dresden met at the Winter Music Conference in 2001, working together for a full seven years before playing their final set at the Beatport Pool Party in Miami last week.
The American duo have chosen to concentrate instead on their solo careers, but it often happens that working musician duos who take a hiatus end up working together again on brief stints.
In recent days, Josh Gabriel has followed a darker, more techno path, as evidenced by his cut ‘Summit’.
Dave Dresden’s latest production is a feel-good vocal house record with Chris Cox called ‘Hole Wide’, heard on Dave Dresden’s MySpace page.
