Terry Lee Brown Junior [Plastic Cit...

For the remixes of Terry Lee Brown Junior’s summer burner, ‘Lost and Found’, Plastic City have enlisted the services of minimal pioneer and Poker Flat top man Steve Bug.

Berlin based Bug this time leaves the minimal scarf at home and instead dons his New York hoodie for a production which tunes into the heart of his deep house roots.

His Found It Mix is an excellent mixture of bouncy Strictly Rhythm bass and shuffling beats.

Soulful chords and echoing gasps lead to a string segment fused with one of Steve’s trademark synth melodies rising to a crescendo before dropping into a subtle groove.

The Lost It Mix is a far more dubby interpretation, relying on a driving hi hat and rolling subsonics to provide the heads down vibes.

Blu Mar Ten take time out of their busy drum & bass schedule to deliver a stomping tech remix of ‘Level Vibes’.

The beats here are very heavy but the interweaving melody of the original takes the edge off things.

Swapping genres doesn’t seem to have affected the quality of their work as they seamlessly drop a relentless pounding of bass and fx to keep the big rooms very happy indeed.
