It’s been a good year for Sub Static boss Falko Brocksieper, who’s acclaimed ‘Heavy Day’ album combined classic house moods and up-to-date production finesse in fine style.

Hot on its heels comes this double header, and it’s the kind of high-class, low-slung roller we’ve come to expect.

The title track is a perky, bubbling tech-house cut that works a dubby echo over taut snares and a wiggling groove.

Overlaid with a bloke rambling about some nonsense or other, it’s the kind of understated, DJ-friendly cut that Falko specialises in.

On the flip, ‘Request’ sees Falko ploughing housier waters still, with smoky jazz riffs and vocal snatches fluttering in and out of the mix.

Both offer solid, unfussy club goodness from this consistently impressive talent.
