Freelance Boogie - Paul Bardsley

Freelance Boogie - Paul Bardsley

Last Electric Sheep Recordings release of 2010 and we go out in style with this four track ep from Paul Bardsley [a]

Dreamweaver, Sound Designer, Producer, Gangsta Poet, Disc Jockey, After Dinner Speaker, Actor and Promoter for the successful East London based Pete’s 50th club nights, Paul Bardsley [a], returns to the label with four seriously on form tracks with his Freelance Boogie EP’.

‘Freelance Boogie’ kicks off the EP with a contemporary take on lo-fi funk. This is sleazed out, slo-mo and very now. ‘Let’s Talk About Public Transport Baby’ up...s the tempo just a notch, but keeps the dosage of funk in check. With ‘Backupbeats’, Paul showcases his multi-faceted production style, with cosmic disco strings marrying a Daft Punk style rhythm to great effect. ‘Jelly Shoes’ rounds the release off in a sophisticated style with low sub mixed down with a very understated groove and subtle pads.
