needs no introduction, having been responsible for an expansive amount of tracks and remixes alongside John Digweed, in addition to several great solo releases of his own.
Meanwhile, Neil Quigley
, the fast rising DJ from London has been doing some excellent collaborative work with Milton Jackson as of late, finds time to form this new partnership with Muir, releasing ‘Feedback from the City’ as their debut.
Originally featured in its vocal form on Audio Therapy’s Spring Summer 2007 sampler, the track now gets a full release on Urbantorque, with Muir and Quigley’s Pacemaker dub leading this trio of remixes.
The warm house rhythms and deep grooves provide the perfect canvas for the duo to experiment, layering in airy pads and synths which only serve to compliment the deep, flowing mood of this excellent mix.
Rulers of the Deep’s own DJ Meri provides support with a distinctly upbeat interpretation that utilises a lot more of Nadine Khouri’s vocal, filtered through some subliminal percussion layers which lead into a bumpy crescendo to finish.
The final mix from Spin Science is a stripped back excursion in deep house territory, masterfully arranged and executed to the usual high Urbantorque standard.
