British superstar DJ Norman Cook aka Fatboy Slim has revealed to the Mail of Sunday that his new album is a secret blueprint to try and reinvent dance music.
“The album is pretty much finished, we just need to mix it and it should come out around May,” said Norman.
“Dance music really has become a little bit lost - it needs someone to come along and reinvent it like The Prodigy or Daft Punk did. I’m trying to find a different way of doing it and I think I have done that.”
Fatboy Slim also revealed that he collaborated with Iggy Pop on his new album - fans of sci-fi TV drama Heroes will hear the collaboration first this spring.
Norman also admitted that he was looking at new ways to release his music, following Prince and Radiohead’s freebies last year.
