‘Eye Spy’ marks Sultan and Shepard collaboration

is another of the new breed of Canadian digital labels (this one based in Montreal and run by the DJ / production team of Sultan and Ned Shepard).
Ossama Al Sarraf aka Sultan
[pictured] has previously released singles on Yoshitoshi and Shinichi, while Shepard was in the groups Digital Witchcraft and Jiva (the latter with Sultan).
They have a mission statement to “provide the perfect platform for the long time collaborators to present their own productions and remixes as well as showcase a diverse selection of cutting edge music from the finest talents in the electronic dance music scene.”
Their debut comes in the form of their own Sultan & Ned Shepard release ‘Eye Spy’ – a minimal slab of progressive in its original form that takes on a whole new shape in the hands of Germany’s Gold Ryan who does his best Deadmau5 mix impersonation to come up with the goods… and how.
This serious sonic soundscape of dark and torchy textures is crowd pleasing in all the right places and perfect fodder for the new electronica generation.
