Eric Prydz new releases and festival trouble
19 July, 2007 | 8.40AMSwedish super producer Eric Prydz
has two mammoth tracks out this week under his credible electro house guise Cirez D. Both have shot straight into Beatport’s Top 10 download chart, which should cheer old Prydz up after his recent bust up with Loveland Festival in Holland. The Dutch festival incorrectly (or unscrupulously) advertised Eric Prydz as playing on their Fire stage on the 4th August 2007.
“This is completely false and Eric has never been booked to play this festival,” read a message on Ericprydz.com
“We are very disappointed with Loveland as they have clearly advertised Eric’s participation in their event without first booking him which is outrageous and a complete false representation,” Eric Prydz’ lot moaned.
Whilst Eric Prydz fans in Holland might be upset to learn their hero ain’t in fact playing at Loveland, they will find some consolation in his new release on Prydz’ own Mouseville
records.
‘Horizons’ is a huge dancefloor-filling electro monster that fuses cool vocal sounds with soaring 1980s synths. As always the production is top quality.
On the flip side ‘Tigerstyle’ is even better. A heads down evil jiggidy fuzzy bassline warbles and rumbles below a kick drum snare combo that’ll destroy any underground club.
Check out both the tracks in the player below. Cirez D is back!
