Energy 52 ‘Cafe Del Mar’: Dance Anthem

When German DJs Paul M and ]]Cosmic Baby]] released their trance track ‘Cafe Del Mar’ in 1993 under their Energy 52 project, they created a monster dance anthem that still to this day remains one of the greatest trance tracks of all time. Inspired by the famous Ibiza chill out bar, countless remixes of the track have since been produced, and it is the 1998 Three ‘N One Remix of ‘Cafe Del Mar’ [track No.5 in the player below] that has stood the test of time

Featuring a simple trance loop, the track drops into one of the biggest and most memorable of breakdowns, capable of blowing the roof off any club.

Whilst trance has since become synonymous with cheesy riffs and formulaic breakdowns, the Three ‘N One Remix is one of the original templates that thousands of trance productions has since tried to emulate.
